Reliable is quite the understatement - Indel B has a very long pedigree. Indel B is an Italian company that has been in business since 1967. In 1982, NASA approved an Indel B refrigerator to go on the Space Shuttle Columbia. Since then, Indel B has been chosen time and time again to manufacture built-in refrigeration for automotive and trucking companies like Mercedes, Lincoln, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Chrysler, Mack, and many more.
There certainly is! And it's called the Overland Refrigerator. These units can be set anywhere between 0 degrees and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. If you're interested in having both a refrigerator and freezer on your adventures, check out the YCD65 dual zone Overland Refrigerator. It has two temperature zones to keep your food and beverages at two distinct temperatures.
Absolutely not. The Overland Refrigerator was designed to operate in the wild, where flat surfaces may not always be available. Like the back of a vehicle, where it might be bouncing around or climbing hills, or in the harsh, unforgiving terrain of the Outback. We recommend a 30 degree angle or less for continuous operation.
We recommend 2-3 inches of clear space around the 3 vented sides. This will allow adequate airflow across the compressor and condenser to ensure maximum performance and energy efficiency.
It is not recommended to use any extension cord while on 12 volt DC power. Voltage drop is a large concern for battery-operated devices that use a power cord. Lower voltages may cause damage or interfere with the operation of your unit.
Extremely reliable. Your Indel B unit is built around a SECOP (formerly Danfoss) compressor. Danfoss pioneered the refrigeration industry with their revolutionary compressor that offers energy efficiency and high cooling performance at a minimum size.
